Main Street Web is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we build every site — our own included.

Our target standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities.

What we've done

• Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and a "skip to content" link.
• Descriptive labels and alternative text for meaningful images and controls.
• Full keyboard operability with clearly visible focus outlines.
• Colour contrast that meets the AA standard (at least 4.5:1 for normal text).
• Respect for the "reduce motion" setting — animations are disabled for visitors who prefer it.
• A responsive, mobile-first layout that works across screen sizes and zoom levels.

Known limitations

Some content may use placeholder text or images until finalized, and a few features rely on third-party services we do not fully control. We review and improve accessibility on an ongoing basis.
